The best things to see in Val Badia
Despite the beautiful nature being the undoubted protagonist at San Vigilio di Marebbe, the cultural attractions shouldn't be missed out on. Thanks to the indigenous culture of Val Badia and to the unique characteristics of this territory, some notable exhibitive centres have been born, a few of which we'll recommend here which are worthy of visiting.
Park visitor's centre
Opposite our garni, the Fanes-Sennes-Prags visitor's centre is clearly dedicated to the peculiarities and to the secrets of the natural paradise that is the Dolomites. Nature, geology, fauna, flora and much more are some of the themes picked up on with multimedia spaces, terrarium and areas dedicated specifically to children.
Messner Mountain Museums
There are two museums of the famous South Tyrolean mountaineer close to San Vigilio. The museum dedicated to walls and to the passion of the mountaineer on Kronplatz, which is admirable for its architecture and the museum dedicated to mountain populations is located in Brunico city castle.
Museum Ladin
A museum dedicated to the Ladin people, to their history and culture, to the Ladin territory and its related economy. Situated in the Ciastel de Tor castle which thrones above the village of San Martino in Badia, the Museum Ladin is an obligatory stop for those who love Val Badia.
